Join the fun with Wynberg Rotaract

The Wynberg Rotaract Club have been incredibly busy as always.

During November and December 2012, the highly successful and sought-after, Uncle Paul’s Christmas Party was once again held on the farm at Groot Constantia.  One of the resulting spin-offs from this is that the Wynberg Rotaractors get to spend some time doing community service projects at the Constantia Primary School which is where the children of the Groot Constantia staff go to school.  The first of these projects for 2013 was to deliver packed back-packs to the school children on the first day of the new school term.  Other projects will follow during the course of the year.  The following article came out of the Peoples Post community newspaper on Tuesday 29 January 2013.

More good news from this busy club is that UCT have approved the chartering of a Rotaract club at UCT.  Well done Justin and the rest of the club on your hard work.  Watch the press for any more new Rotaract Clubs to be chartered this year.

Kiddies Camp was held from 18-20 Jan with 34 kids from Vissershoek near Durbanville being hosted by Wynberg Rotaract Club and Bellville Rotaract Club.  Once again this was a huge success with various activities and outings for the children all weekend.

District Toiletries Project:  Wynberg Rotaract handed out over 100 packs of toiletries to children at Groote Schuur Hospital.

The annual Interact Camp will take place from 15-17 March at Camp Faraway, Noordhoek.

Anyone between the ages of 18-30 wishing to join a service organisation please contact wynbergrotaract@gmail.com.
