World Rotaract Week 11 – 17 March 2019

Rotary Clubs around the world celebrate World Rotaract Week to recognize the chartering of the first Rotaract Club in North Charlotte, North Carolina, USA on 13 March 1968.

Today with over 150 Rotaract Clubs around the world and growing, Rotaract remains the fastest growing organisation under the Rotary banner. Recently Rotaract Clubs were recognized as members or Rotary International and given dual membership of Rotaract and Rotary.

The Rotary Club of Wynberg proudly supports two active and strong Rotaract Clubs in our district the Rotaract Club of Steenberg and Wynberg. These two clubs, consisting of members between 18 and 30 years of age,  provide much needed hands on projects to our communities.

If you know of a young adult 18 to 30 seeking to get involved at a local level please share this post with them. Rotaract not only provides the community service opportunities, they also provide personal development opportunities such as public speaking, project planning and many other leadership skill required in a diverse work place.
