Seeff Southern Suburbs does it again!
Seeff Southern Suburbs won the Rotary Quiz Night for the second year in a row on Tuesday 26 September at the Earth Fair Market Tokai.
The Rotary Quiz Night is a Rotary Club of Wynberg fund raiser that challenges teams to participate in a general knowledge quiz with a fun and enjoyable format.
The success of the Rotary Quiz Night is largely due to growing support from a loyal base of teams from Rotary clubs; Corporates as well as the public who over the past 4 years have come back again and again for an enjoyable fun night. The Quiz is grateful for the support of sponsors and donors who help make the event such a success. Our main event sponsors are RevPrint Tokai, AudioVan and Pixelberg. A big thanks also to the Maitland Group who donated R3,000 towards the Library Corner Project.
The ever popular Quiz saw an increased number of 192 participants and 24 teams taking part on the evening. This year we had 2 new categories in the Corporate Challenge as well as the Rotary Challenge. These two new categories aimed to promote competition between Rotary Clubs as well as increase Corporate support for the event. This year saw Seeff Southern Suburbs win the Ultimate Quiz Champions as well as the Corporate Challenge Trophy while The Rotaract Club of Wynberg won the Rotary Challenge Trophy.
The Rotary Quiz Night raises funds for Wynberg Rotary’s Library Corner Project and this year the event raised R12,000 that will go to installing library corners at Southfield Primary School. The Rotary Club of Wynberg is already planning for their 5th Quiz night which aims to be even bigger and better with more prizes and challenges for the teams. Rotary Quiz returns on 28 August 2018!
