The Rotary Club of Wynberg is reloading its annual Quiz Night after two years of hibernation due to the pandemic. The Rotary Quiz Night is a fun evening for all with teams battling out for bragging rights and great prizes, this year will be no different. So come out and support a worthy cause that has been investing in the community for more than 73 years.

Rotary Quiz Night will be hosted at Timour Hall Villa on St Joans Road Constantia from 18:00 on Friday 27 May 2022. Teams can comprise of up to 8 people at R75per person (playing or not).

Uyinene Mrwetyana Post office to Parliment

Rotary Club of Wynberg members supported the Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation’s Post Office to Parliament campaign with a donation towards the printing of 1000 postcards that will be delivered to the Minister of Women, Children and People with disabilities at Parliment on Saturday 28 August 2021. The Club is to have 300 cards completed and delivered to parliament.

Feeding Homeless of Cape Town

Rotary Wynberg partnered with the Rotaract Club of Wynberg to prepare meals for the homeless in Claremont Cape Town on 17 June 2021. A regular project of the Rotaract Club of Wynberg who feed between 50 and 100 people per night. Rotarians enjoyed fellowship catching up on stories missed while preparing hearty meals for Cape Towns most vulnerable citizens.

A meal should not be a luxury or a right it is a basic need that we all can solve together. So next time you drive past a lady, man or child who is homeless ask when last did you go without food for a day. Thank you all who volunteers daily to provide food for those that cannot feed themselves.

Rotaract Club of Wynberg is an organization run by volunteers from the ages of 18 who promote service above self. Rotaract Club of Wynberg are the founders and organizers of Uncle Paul’s Christmas Party.

Beau Soleil Music Centre in Partnership with the Rotary Club of Wynberg presents An Evening with Beau Soleil

The Rotary Club of Wynberg and the Last Night of the Proms have partnered to bring you a variety of soloists, ensembles and a guest performance by award winning violinist Jordan Brooks from the Beau Soleil Music Centre in Kenilworth, Cape Town.

The Music Centre’s top learners will be presented in a performance to showcase South Africa’s young rising stars.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Wynberg, An Evening with Beau Soleil premiered on 17 June 2021 at 19:00.

The Arts have been hit hard by the Covid-19 regulations for live events which has hampered the Music Centre’s efforts to fundraise in order to provide high level music training to Cape Town’s most deserving talent.
