Youth are our future and giving them a chance to engage in leadership development that will equip them for civil leadership in their future, Adventures into Citizenship is the ideal programme for this.

Rotary Club of Wynberg sponsored Skylar and Keagan of the Interact Club at Plumstead High School to attend this year’s Adventures in to Citizenship 2019 hosted 16-22 June at Jan van Riebeek Hostel . The 2 joined 54 other learners from across the country as far as East London and Upington.

The learners were introduced to the many civic institutions in Cape Town that are important for the functioning of a country. This year the programme included Educational visits to; Parliament, High Court, Western Cape Legislature, Civic Centre, District 6 Museum, UWC, CPUT, Kirstenbosch Gardens and Heart Museum of Cape Town.

The learners were also entertained and kept active with great team building activities such as African drumming, Art Jamming and Barn dancing.

This is a truly special programme that will live with our two students forever.
